Pink For Life

I was very happy that my parents gave me a pSeries Servers for my birthday. I have heard a lot of good things about it from my friends. They said that it is very efficient. And of course, since everybody seems to use it, I feel like it will be very cool if I am using the same. You see, that is how it is in our world.

However, knowing how thrifty my parents are, I wonder why they decided to buy me this kind of a server. It is far from cheap and I know that they will never think of spending too much on luxuries like this. They prefer to save most of their income as they believe that unfavorable circumstances come at the most unexpected times. For them, preparedness is the key to survive. So one night, out of a constantly increasing confusion, I asked them during dinner time. I did not want to sound very skeptical so I tried to make my tone of voice as normal as possible. I asked them what made them decide to give me that gift and if it cost them so much. They just smiled and looked at each other. And then my mother said that they bought it from an online shop that sells Used pSeries. I was shocked. But they assured me that I won’t have any problems with it because it was reconditioned by IBM experts.

I just looked at the two of them in sheer amazement and laughed.
