While looking for some new things to add to my office, to make it more green, I came across automatic faucets. By installing automatic faucets in restrooms, you can cut down on the amount of water that people waste. Most people turn on the water, lather up with soap and then rinse. The whole time that they are lathering the soap on their hands, the water is being wasted. The automatic faucets would stop, once the person removed them from under the tap, saving gallons of water and money.

I contacted several local plumbing fixture companies to see if they would come and give me an estimate on installing the faucets in my office bathrooms and the office break room. Most of them told me that they did not have any in stock and that it would be months before they got anymore in.

I then found a plumbing company, who had three left and with the purchase of them, they were giving away free purell instant hand sanitizer dispensers. I had been thinking that it would be a great idea to put a few around the office and then people would be more apt to use them, instead of picking up a bottle of the purell instant hand sanitizer to use.
